Sanqi Shenban Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Shanghai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). The decoction is primarily composed of *Panax notoginseng* (Sanqi) and other herbs intended to tonify Qi, nourish blood, and resolve stasis. It is clinically utilized to improve platelet counts and reduce bleeding symptoms, particularly in patients who are resistant to corticosteroid therapy. In clinical research, it has been evaluated as an adjunctive therapy alongside thrombopoietin receptor agonists like eltrombopag to enhance therapeutic efficacy and reduce the required dosage of Western medications.
