Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sanqi Tongshuan Tablets (SQTS) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Kunming Kidney Disease Research Institute for the treatment of recovery-stage ischemic stroke. Formulated based on the principles of promoting blood circulation, resolving blood stasis, and dredging collaterals, the therapy primarily targets the TCM syndrome of blood stasis obstructing the collaterals. Preclinical evaluations have demonstrated that Sanqi Tongshuan Tablets exert neuroprotective effects, helping to ameliorate neurological deficits and improve post-stroke sequelae. The drug is currently undergoing Phase II clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety and efficacy in patients recovering from ischemic stroke.
