Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sanqihuogu pill is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by The Second Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of early-stage avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANFH), particularly for patients diagnosed with the Qi-blood stagnation type in TCM theory. The pill's primary active component is derived from *Panax notoginseng* (Sanqi), which is traditionally recognized for its ability to promote blood circulation, resolve blood stasis, and reduce pain. In clinical practice, it is often evaluated as an adjuvant therapy alongside extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) to enhance bone regeneration and improve joint function in patients with early-stage osteonecrosis.
