Sanwei joint plaster is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical preparation developed by the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, particularly cases characterized by 'qi stagnation and blood stasis' according to TCM diagnostics. The plaster is applied topically to the affected joint to promote blood circulation, resolve blood stasis, and alleviate pain.
