It is primarily indicated for the treatment of hyperlipidemia. The formulation is a mixture (Heji) composed of three key herbal ingredients, typically including *Crataegus pinnatifida* (Hawthorn), *Alisma plantago-aquatica* (Water Plantain), and *Polygonum multiflorum* (Fleeceflower root). These components work synergistically to lower serum cholesterol and triglycerides by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase activity and promoting the excretion of lipids. As a hospital-made preparation (院内制剂), it is used clinically within the institution to manage patients with lipid metabolism disorders and to prevent related cardiovascular complications.
