Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sanyang Yixinkang is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preparation developed by the Jilin Province Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of coronary heart disease and angina pectoris. Formulated to address the TCM pattern of "Qi deficiency and blood stasis," the drug typically contains a combination of animal-derived and herbal extracts, including sheep heart, sheep blood, and sheep kidney (the "Three Yangs"), alongside botanical components. Pharmacological research indicates that Sanyang Yixinkang improves myocardial blood supply, protects cardiac cells from ischemic injury, and regulates vascular endothelial function by modulating levels of nitric oxide and endothelin-1. It also exhibits anti-platelet aggregation properties and helps reduce blood viscosity, thereby alleviating clinical symptoms such as chest pain and palpitations in patients with chronic stable angina.
