Overview
Sanyuan Rupixiao Gel Patch is a topical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Shanxi Fengyuan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the treatment of breast hyperplasia. It is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, a common diagnostic category in TCM associated with breast pain and glandular nodules. The drug is formulated as a gel patch (cataplasm), which facilitates the transdermal delivery of active botanical constituents directly to the affected breast tissue. This localized delivery system is intended to improve patient compliance and reduce systemic side effects compared to oral Rupixiao formulations. The product is currently undergoing Phase II clinical evaluation in China to assess its efficacy in reducing breast pain and nodule size.
