Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sanzi Fang (SZF) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal compound that has been investigated for its potential in the prevention and treatment of colorectal adenoma (CRA). Research, primarily in preclinical mouse models, suggests that SZF exerts its therapeutic effects by modulating the intestinal flora and improving colorectal metabolic profiles. It has been observed to increase beneficial gut bacteria and decrease harmful ones, as well as normalize various colorectal metabolites. This traditional formula is being explored for its ability to prevent the progression of CRA to cancer.
