Sanzi Yangqin decoction

Sanzi Yangqin decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula composed of multiple herbs. It is primarily used for the treatment of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The decoction exhibits anti-inflammatory, antitussive, expectorant, and mucus-reducing effects. Mechanistically, its activity is attributed to the inhibition of inflammation and airway mucus hypersecretion by regulating key signaling pathways including NF-κB and AKT. Key active ingredients identified in the formula include luteolin, β-carotene, and sinapine.
