SAR444245 + cemiplimab is a combination investigational therapy consisting of SAR444245, a pegylated recombinant interleukin-2 (IL-2) cytokine engineered to enhance anti-tumor immune stimulation with reduced toxicity, and cemiplimab, a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-1 (PD-1) used as a checkpoint inhibitor. SAR444245 is developed to preferentially stimulate immune effector cells while minimizing activation of regulatory T cells, aiming to boost anti-cancer responses. Cemiplimab blocks PD-1 to prevent cancer cell-mediated immune evasion. This combination is under clinical investigation primarily for advanced skin cancers such as malignant melanoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, as well as HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer. Both agents are administered intravenously and are studied for their potential to enhance anti-tumor efficacy through complementary immune mechanisms[1][3][4][6][7].
