Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SAR445399 is an investigational trivalent nanobody developed by Sanofi that simultaneously targets and neutralizes three potent pro-inflammatory cytokines: tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-17A (IL-17A), and interleukin-17F (IL-17F). Utilizing technology acquired from Ablynx, this multi-specific biologic is designed to offer a more comprehensive inhibition of inflammatory pathways than traditional single-target agents. It is currently being evaluated for its efficacy and safety in treating chronic inflammatory conditions, with a primary focus on moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a disease where TNF and IL-17 signaling are known to drive significant tissue inflammation and lesion formation.
