Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kling Biotherapeutics (formerly AIMM Therapeutics) is developing a program of fully human neutralizing monoclonal antibody clones targeting SARS-CoV-2 antigens for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. These antibodies are identified using the company's proprietary Kling-Select and Kling-Evolve platforms, which isolate and optimize B cells from 'elite responders'—individuals who have demonstrated exceptionally potent and broad immune responses to the virus. The therapeutic strategy involves the use of these antibodies to bind to viral antigens, such as the spike protein, to neutralize the virus and prevent it from infecting host cells. The program is currently in the lead optimization stage of preclinical development.
