Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CoV2 preS dTM-AF03 is a recombinant protein-based vaccine candidate developed for the prevention of COVID-19. It consists of a stabilized prefusion form of the SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) protein, produced using a baculovirus expression system in insect cells, and is formulated with the AF03 oil-in-water squalene-based adjuvant to enhance immune response. The primary mechanism is immunostimulation via induction of neutralizing antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 S protein. The vaccine was developed by Sanofi Pasteur and has been evaluated in clinical trials for safety and immunogenicity as both primary vaccination and booster in adults[1][3][6].
