Overview

SARS-CoV-2 vaccine-induced high-titer convalescent plasma is a blood-derived biologic product obtained from donors who have undergone a sequential vaccination strategy against COVID-19. This plasma is characterized by high titers of neutralizing antibodies specifically targeting the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Unlike traditional convalescent plasma, which is sourced from individuals who have recovered from a natural infection, this product utilizes the standardized and often more robust immune response elicited by vaccination. It is intended for use in patients requiring blood transfusions to provide passive protection against COVID-19 infection and to evaluate the safety and immunologic effects of such transfusions. The product is currently being studied in a Phase 0 clinical trial by Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital.
