Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of three drugs: **sasanlimab** (a PD-1 inhibitor monoclonal antibody), **encorafenib** (a small molecule BRAF inhibitor), and **binimetinib** (a small molecule MEK1/2 inhibitor). Sasanlimab blocks PD-1, releasing the inhibition on immune cells to permit tumor cell killing. Encorafenib targets BRAF V600-mutant kinases, inhibiting the MAPK/ERK pathway and suppressing tumor growth. Binimetinib inhibits MEK1/2 downstream of BRAF, further blocking the MAPK pathway. The combination aims to provide synergistic antitumor effects by targeting immune checkpoints as well as oncogenic signaling, and is being studied in solid tumors, including melanoma and lung cancer.
