Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SAT49 (also referred to as SAR49) is a novel gallium-68-labeled peptidomimetic targeting prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP/ACP3) for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of prostate cancer. Developed by Sagittide Therapeutics in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), SAT49 was identified using combinatorial cyclic peptide phage libraries and optimized to achieve high-affinity (approximately 1.8 nM) and high-specificity binding to human ACP3. In preclinical murine models, SAT49 demonstrated high thermal and plasma stability, selective concentration in ACP3-positive tumor tissues, rapid clearance from healthy tissues, and an excellent tumor-to-kidney ratio (TKR) of 4:1, making it a promising candidate for radionuclide-targeted imaging of prostate cancer lesions.
