Overview

satb1 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of Special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 1 (SATB1). SATB1 is a global chromatin organizer and transcription factor that tethers genomic DNA to the nuclear matrix, facilitating the three-dimensional organization of chromatin. In the context of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), SATB1 has been identified as a prognostic factor that promotes tumor cell migration and invasion, potentially through the regulation of matrix metalloproteinase 3 (MMP3). By knocking down SATB1 expression, this siRNA inhibits the aggressive phenotype of cancer cells, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic strategy for SATB1-overexpressing malignancies.
