Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Savi-CORD is an expanded CD34+ hematopoietic cell therapy derived from banked allogeneic cord blood units, designed to enhance graft-versus-tumor activity in patients with acute leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes who are candidates for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. It uses a proprietary ex vivo expansion platform to generate “off‑the‑shelf” universal hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells aimed at improving engraftment and anti-leukemic effects in allogeneic HSCT settings. Developed by Cell BioEngines, Savi-CORD is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials, with initial dosing reported in five patients.
