Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SB-000 is an adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapy candidate being developed by Shift Bioscience for the treatment of age-related hearing loss. The therapy utilizes Shift Bioscience's proprietary machine-learning platform to identify and deliver a specific anti-aging gene (currently unnamed) that can reverse the epigenetic age of cells. By overexpressing this target within the auditory system, SB-000 aims to rejuvenate aged cells and potentially restore hearing function. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
