Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SBB001 is a preclinical-stage antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by SunnyBay Biotech for the treatment of various solid tumors. The drug utilizes a fully humanized monoclonal antibody to target Human Endogenous Retrovirus-K (HERV-K), a viral protein that is selectively expressed on the surface of multiple cancer types but is largely absent in healthy tissues. SBB001 is designed to deliver potent cytotoxic payloads, including monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE), SN-38, and DXd, directly to tumor cells to induce apoptosis. The program is currently being investigated for indications such as breast, lung, ovarian, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers, as well as melanoma.
