Overview

SBI1997 is a novel immunotherapy candidate being developed by Saronic Biotechnology for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). It is designed to modulate inhibitory immune cell populations, such as immune-suppressive cells in the tumor microenvironment, to restore and enhance the body's anti-cancer immune response. The drug is currently in Phase 1/2 clinical development, most notably being evaluated in the AUDIT trial (Adjuvant Immunotherapy Trial) for HCC patients who have undergone curative resection or ablation. By targeting the mechanisms of immune evasion, SBI1997 aims to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence and improve long-term survival outcomes in the adjuvant setting.
