Overview

SBK017 is an investigational small molecule P2Y12 receptor antagonist developed by Chengdu Shibeikang Biomedical Technology for the treatment of ischemic cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as venous thrombosis. As a P2Y12 antagonist, it works by blocking the binding of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to its receptor on platelets, thereby inhibiting ADP-mediated activation of the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa complex and subsequent platelet aggregation. This mechanism is a cornerstone in the management of acute coronary syndromes and the prevention of secondary thrombotic events. SBK017 is formulated as an injection, potentially offering rapid antiplatelet effects suitable for acute clinical settings. It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China.
