Overview

**SBK2-ICG** is an investigational, intravenously administered near-infrared fluorescence imaging agent for fluorescence-guided resection of glioma and other malignant brain tumors. It is a covalent conjugate of the 20-amino-acid SBK2 peptide and indocyanine green. The SBK2 peptide recognizes a tumor-associated biomarker derived from receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase mu, enabling selective accumulation and near-infrared visualization of glioma tissue and tumor margins during surgery. SBK2-ICG is being evaluated in a Phase 1 safety and dose-finding study to support intraoperative delineation of tumor from normal brain tissue; it is not approved for this use.
