SBL-004

SBL-004 is a preclinical fat-reducing therapy being developed by Sable Therapeutics as part of a microneedle patch platform intended to induce browning of white adipose tissue for targeted aesthetic fat reduction and potential obesity-related metabolic benefits.[5][9][10][13][19] The SBL-003/SBL-004 microneedle patch is designed to locally deliver agents that promote the conversion of energy-storing white fat into more metabolically active brown-like fat, thereby reducing fat volume in a site-specific manner.[5][13][19] It is positioned within the endocrinology and metabolic disease space, with current development focused on non-surgical body contouring and fat reduction rather than systemic weight-loss pharmacotherapy.[5][9][10][13][19]
