Overview

**SBP-1315** is a small molecule positive allosteric modulator (PAM) of the metabotropic glutamate receptor 2 (mGlu2), discovered and optimized by researchers at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute. It enhances mGlu2 receptor activity to modulate glutamatergic neurotransmission, showing preclinical efficacy in models relevant to substance use disorders. Developed as a potential therapeutic for addiction-related conditions, it is one of three related compounds (alongside SBP-9330 and SBP-9220) supported by NIH funding for further preclinical studies.
