Overview

SBP-201 is a drug candidate developed by Sparkbiopharma Co., Ltd. for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, with a specific focus on Parkinson's disease. The drug's mechanism of action involves inducing the expression of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory genes, which are intended to protect brain cells and inhibit disease progression. It leverages Sparkbiopharma's proprietary "PhenoCure+" platform, which incorporates an AI-based molecular design technology known as "AI-TPU." This AI-TPU technology is designed to enhance protein stability and activity by inhibiting the binding between specific target proteins and E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases. SBP-201 is currently in the discovery phase of development.
