SBS-1000

SBS-1000 is a first-in-class, non-opioid analgesic developed by Sparian Biosciences. It acts as an agonist of the arylepoxamide receptor (AEAr), a novel class of receptors widely distributed in the brain and spinal cord believed to modulate pain signaling and perception. In preclinical models, SBS-1000 demonstrated highly potent analgesia without dangerous side effects such as respiratory depression, abuse liability, or physical dependence. The drug is being investigated for the treatment of acute and chronic moderate to severe pain[1][3][7]. Phase 1 clinical trials in healthy volunteers showed that SBS-1000 was safe and well tolerated; no serious adverse events were observed, with sedation at higher doses being the dose-limiting toxicity[1]. Pharmacokinetic profiles have been characterized for intravenous administration.
