Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SBT-501 is a single-domain antibody (sdAb), also known as a nanobody, developed by Singh Biotechnology for the prophylaxis of SARS-CoV-2 infection. It is designed to prevent infection by the original strain of SARS-CoV-2 as well as its emerging variants. As a nanobody-based biologic, SBT-501 leverages Singh Biotechnology's proprietary platform to produce small, stable antibody fragments that can potentially neutralize viral particles. The candidate was highlighted in a 2021 Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS) abstract as a prophylactic drug for COVID-19. SBT-501 is part of a broader infectious disease program at Singh Biotechnology that includes SBT-500.
