Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SC-2882 is an orally administered, small-molecule inhibitor of glutaminyl-peptide cyclotransferase-like protein (QPCTL) being developed by Scenic Biotech as a first-in-class immuno-oncology therapy, initially for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Preclinical studies in murine DLBCL models show that SC-2882 inhibits QPCTL, leading to inactivation of the CD47–SIRPα “don’t eat me” checkpoint and secondary proteolytic degradation of monocyte chemoattractants such as CCL2 and CCL7, which together reduce immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment, promote CD3+ T-cell infiltration, and suppress tumor growth with a favorable tolerability and pharmacokinetic profile.[1][3][4][7][14][15]
