SC-43

SC-43 is a small molecule and a derivative of sorafenib. It acts as an orally active agonist of Src-homology protein tyrosine phosphatase 1 (SHP-1; also known as PTPN6), leading to inhibition of STAT3 phosphorylation and induction of apoptosis in cancer cells. SC-43 has demonstrated anti-fibrotic and anticancer effects in preclinical studies. Its primary development focus has been for hepatocellular carcinoma and other solid tumors such as breast cancer, cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), colorectal cancer, and lung cancers[1][2][3][5]. The drug was originally developed by SupremeCure Pharma[3][5].
