Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SC-CAR4BRAIN is an autologous CAR T-cell therapy being developed for pediatric brain and spinal cord tumors. It consists of a patient's own CD4+ and CD8+ T cells that are lentivirally transduced to express four chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) targeting B7-H3, EGFR806, HER2, and IL13-zetakine. These targets are proteins found on the surface of many pediatric brain tumors. The therapy is administered via an indwelling catheter into the ventricular system of the brain, allowing for direct delivery to the central nervous system.
