Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SC0011 is a humanized monoclonal antibody designed to target Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a tight junction protein that is highly expressed in several types of solid tumors, particularly gastric and gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinomas, while remaining largely absent in healthy tissues. Developed by Wuxi Lingfang Biopharmaceutical Technology, SC0011 binds specifically to the extracellular domain of CLDN18.2 on the surface of cancer cells. This binding triggers immune-mediated effector functions, including antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), leading to the targeted destruction of tumor cells. The drug is currently undergoing clinical evaluation in Phase 1/2 trials to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced CLDN18.2-positive malignancies.
