Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SC17 is a monoclonal antibody developed by Scancell using its proprietary GlyMab platform. It is designed to target the tumor-associated glycan Sialyl-di-Lewis A (SdiLeA), which is frequently overexpressed on the surface of various solid tumor cells, particularly in colorectal and pancreatic cancers. The GlyMab platform generates high-affinity antibodies against glycans that are typically difficult to target due to their low immunogenicity. SC17 is intended to exploit the differential expression of SdiLeA between cancerous and healthy tissues to provide a targeted therapeutic approach, potentially through direct cell killing or as part of a more complex therapeutic construct like an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC).
