SC263 is an allogeneic, CD22-directed chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Sana Biotechnology for the treatment of B-cell malignancies. It is specifically designed for patients who have relapsed or are refractory to previous CD19-targeted CAR T therapies. The therapy utilizes Sana's proprietary HIP (hypoimmune) platform technology, which involves genetic modifications to the CAR T cells to reduce their immunogenicity, thereby allowing them to evade the recipient's immune system and potentially persist longer without the need for intensive lymphodepletion. Preclinical data has demonstrated significant efficacy, with complete responses observed in models where CD19-targeted therapies had failed.
