Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**SCAR02** is an investigational fourth-generation autologous dual-target CAR-T cell therapy engineered to recognize CD19 and B-cell maturation antigen and to secrete anti-interleukin-6 antibodies. It is intended to deplete pathogenic CD19-positive B-cell and BCMA-expressing plasmablast or plasma-cell populations in refractory autoimmune disease, while IL-6 antibody secretion is intended to mitigate cytokine-release syndrome. SCAR02 has been studied in an open-label, single-site, dose-escalation clinical study for refractory autoimmune diseases and has published preliminary clinical data in refractory systemic lupus erythematosus.
