**SCB-2022B** is Clover Biopharmaceuticals' preclinical Omicron-derived SARS-CoV-2 protein-subunit vaccine antigen. It comprises a stabilized trimeric form of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron spike glycoprotein produced using Clover's Trimer-Tag platform. In preclinical studies, it was evaluated as a monovalent Omicron vaccine and as one antigenic component of a bivalent vaccine with ancestral-strain SCB-2019; the study formulation used CpG 1018 and aluminum hydroxide adjuvants. Vaccination is intended to induce spike-directed neutralizing antibodies that block viral spike-mediated host-cell entry and prevent COVID-19.
