scDEC-CEA adenovirus (Ad scDEC-CEA-GFP) is an experimental recombinant adenoviral vector designed for cancer immunotherapy. The construct encodes a fusion protein consisting of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and a single-chain variable fragment (scFv) that specifically targets the DEC205 receptor (CD205) on dendritic cells. By directing the tumor-associated antigen (CEA) specifically to dendritic cells, the vector aims to enhance antigen uptake, processing, and subsequent presentation to T cells, thereby stimulating a potent and specific anti-tumor immune response. This research-stage biologic has been investigated in preclinical mouse models for its potential efficacy against CEA-expressing malignancies, such as colorectal and lung cancers.
