Overview

scFvCD16A-sc4-1BBL is a recombinant antibody-ligand fusion protein designed to selectively stimulate and expand natural killer (NK) cells for adoptive immunotherapy. It consists of a human anti-CD16A single-chain variable fragment (scFv) fused via a glycine-serine linker to a single-chain trimer of the extracellular domains of human 4-1BB ligand (4-1BBL). The molecule simultaneously targets CD16A on NK cells to induce activation and delivers a costimulatory signal via 4-1BB receptor, promoting robust NK cell proliferation and enhancing antitumor cytotoxicity. scFvCD16A-sc4-1BBL was developed for improved in vitro NK cell expansion and has demonstrated efficacy in preclinical models of ovarian cancer. It is produced using the yeast Komagataella phaffii expression system to allow for scalable, cost-effective manufacturing[1][2][3][4].
