Overview

SCG101-V is an autologous T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy developed by SCG Cell Therapy for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express a specific TCR that recognizes the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) presented by HLA-A*11:01. By targeting HBsAg-expressing hepatocytes and HBV-infected cells, SCG101-V aims to achieve functional cure in CHB patients and eliminate tumor cells in HCC. In clinical trials for CHB, it is evaluated for its ability to reduce HBsAg levels and HBV DNA while maintaining a manageable safety profile, including monitoring for cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS).
