Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Schisantherin A (STA) is a compound extracted from the traditional Chinese medicinal plant *Schisandra chinensis*. It possesses a range of pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Research indicates that Schisantherin A exhibits anti-hepatocellular carcinoma effects by significantly inhibiting the proliferation and migration of liver cancer cells in a concentration-dependent manner. Its mechanism of action involves regulating and inhibiting the glucose metabolism pathway, leading to anti-tumor effects observed both in vitro and in vivo in tumor xenograft models.
