Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SciMar NuPa Renew is a pharmaceutical drug developed by SciMar Ltd. for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and prediabetes. The drug is designed to stimulate the healthy production of hepatalin, also known as hepatic insulin-sensitizing substance (HISS), a hormone discovered by Dr. Wayne Lautt that plays a key role in nutrient partitioning and metabolic health[1][2][3][5][7]. When taken before a meal, SciMar NuPa Renew activates hepatalin production within the first 90 minutes after eating, promoting balanced nutrient partitioning and potentially reversing type 2 diabetes by addressing its underlying biological causes[1][2][5][7]. The drug is currently being prepared for Phase 2B clinical trials[2], with promising preclinical results showing restoration of hepatalin production in all test subjects and improvements in diabetes risk indicators[6]. It is intended for people already diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes.
