SclerFIX is a biological allograft developed by TBF Genie Tissulaire for the repair and reinforcement of the sclera. It is composed of devitalized, dehydrated, and viro-inactivated allogeneic human tissue derived from the sterile umbilical cord wall (amniotic membrane). Developed as a substitute for traditional scleral grafts, SclerFIX is used to treat scleral thinning, fill defects after the excision of conjunctival lesions or tumors, and assist in reconstruction after enucleation. The product is provided as a flat, freeze-dried tissue that can be stored at room temperature and is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for reinforcing the sclera following ocular surface tumor removal.
