Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SCN1A neoantigen vaccine is an investigational peptide-based vaccine being researched for the treatment of epilepsy associated with pathogenic mutations in the SCN1A gene. Developed by researchers at Beijing Children's Hospital and Capital Medical University, the vaccine consists of computationally optimized SCN1A mutant peptides designed to exhibit high affinity for human leukocyte antigens (HLAs), specifically the HLA-A02:01 allele. By targeting these mutation-specific neoantigens, the vaccine aims to harness the immune system to address the clinical heterogeneity and seizure phenotypes of SCN1A-associated epilepsy.
