SCO-094

SCO-094 is a dual agonist of the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) and the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR). Developed by SCOHIA PHARMA in collaboration with Huadong Medicine, it is a peptide-based therapeutic designed for the treatment of metabolic disorders, including type 2 diabetes, obesity, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). By selectively stimulating both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, SCO-094 aims to improve glycemic control and induce significant body weight reduction. It is administered via subcutaneous injection, with both once-daily and once-weekly formulations under investigation. As of mid-2021, the drug was in Phase 1 clinical development.
