SCO-301

**SCO-301** is a repurposed, orally available small-molecule drug candidate being developed by Scandion Oncology, with work reported in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen, for reversal of anti-cancer drug resistance in solid tumors including lung cancer and ovarian cancer. Publicly available company materials indicate that SCO-301 originated from screening of already registered non-cancer drugs, had previously undergone preclinical and clinical safety and toxicity testing as monotherapy for a non-cancer indication, and was described as available over the counter for that prior indication. The specific active ingredient, molecular target, and detailed mechanism have not been publicly disclosed, but Scandion has stated that SCO-301 is intended to address a class of chemotherapy resistance mechanisms distinct from those targeted by SCO-101 and SCO-201.
