Scp2xx is a preclinical biologic candidate developed by Silver Creek Pharmaceuticals, designed as a half-life extended version of Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF). Utilizing the company's proprietary Smart-Link technology, Scp2xx is engineered to overcome the rapid systemic clearance typical of native growth factors, thereby extending its therapeutic window and enhancing its regenerative potential. HGF is a pleiotropic growth factor that signals through the MET receptor to stimulate cell proliferation, survival, and angiogenesis while simultaneously exerting anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic effects. Scp2xx is being developed for regenerative medicine applications, with a primary focus on treating acute organ injuries such as acute kidney injury (AKI), where sustained HGF signaling can promote tissue repair and functional recovery.
