SCR-A003

SCR-A003 is a novel antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting LIV-1 (also known as SLC39A6 or ZIP6), developed by Simcere Zaiming, a subsidiary of Simcere Pharmaceutical Group. The drug consists of a LIV-1-targeted monoclonal antibody conjugated to a novel cytotoxic topoisomerase I inhibitor payload via a protease-cleavable linker. LIV-1 is a multi-transmembrane protein with zinc transporter and metalloproteinase activity that is highly expressed in various solid tumors, including breast, prostate, ovarian, and lung cancers, with limited expression in vital organs. In preclinical studies, SCR-A003 demonstrated potent, dose-dependent in vivo antitumor activity and specific binding affinity, showing superior efficacy and pharmacokinetic profiles compared to SGN-LIV1A analogues.
