SCR9168 is a potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of the Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Kinase 1 and 2 (MEK1/2), developed by Simcere Pharmaceutical Group. By targeting the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway, SCR9168 aims to inhibit the phosphorylation of ERK, thereby suppressing the proliferation and survival of tumor cells that harbor activating mutations in the RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK pathway. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, particularly those with specific genetic alterations such as KRAS, NRAS, or BRAF mutations, where dysregulated MEK signaling drives oncogenesis.
