Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SCT-EL is a preclinical-stage bispecific antibody being developed by Sinocelltech that simultaneously targets the Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) immune checkpoint and the Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor (VEGFR). Designed for the treatment of solid tumors, SCT-EL employs a dual mechanism of action: it blocks the PD-1 pathway to reinvigorate anti-tumor T-cell responses while concurrently inhibiting VEGFR-mediated signaling to suppress tumor angiogenesis and disrupt the formation of new blood vessels. This integrated approach aims to enhance therapeutic efficacy by combining the benefits of immune checkpoint inhibition and anti-angiogenic therapy within a single molecular entity.
