Overview

SCT200 + paclitaxel is a combination regimen under clinical investigation for recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), particularly for patients who have failed both platinum-based chemotherapy and PD-1 inhibitor therapy. SCT200 is a monoclonal antibody targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), inhibiting EGFR-mediated signaling pathways that drive tumor growth and survival. Paclitaxel is a small molecule chemotherapeutic agent that stabilizes microtubules and inhibits their disassembly, arresting the cell cycle and promoting apoptosis in proliferating cancer cells. This combination seeks to utilize targeted anti-EGFR blockade with SCT200 and the cytotoxic effects of paclitaxel to provide improved outcomes in heavily pretreated patient populations[1][2].
